The trebuchet competition is limited to 100 middle-school-aged students total, and 30 students from any one school. Schools are provided space in the competition on a first-come first-serve basis. Schools that register after all 100 spots are full will be placed on a waiting list.
There is no registration fee and no materials needed.
Although there will be engineering student volunteers working with the students, adult supervision is required.
No refreshments or lunches are provided. Lunch is on your own. There is a cafeteria or food court in the lower level of the Union Building where the activity is being held.

Trebuchets are built on site with two competitions. One competition is for distance and one is for accuracy.
Teachers should arrive with their students grouped into teams of four. Teams should arrive with their choice of a team name, which you will provide the scorekeeper.
