Lessons Learned
In the developement of the steering components for the solar car I learned that there are many thing to consider to have a stable car when turning and driving. The position on the rack and pinion can determine if there is bump steer. The rack and pinion needs to be lined up with the steering arms and the linkage on the rack has to pivot in the same location as the front suspension pivots. If this is accomplished then bump steer is eliminated.
