A majority of you will turn in your assignments on time, but some of you may choose not to. So, the last day I will accept late labs and homeworks is by 5pm three business days after they are due. So for labs, which are due on Wednesdays, I will not accept labs after Monday at 5pm (when the ME office closes). Labs that are not turned in by then will receive a zero.

Late homework, labs, memos, and reports will be penalized 10% for every day they are late (& if applicable, the weekend days acts as 1 late day). After 3 business days, zero credit will be received. So for labs, this means:

  • The last time labs will be accepted for credit will be if it is turned in by Monday morning, before Dr. Provancher arrives at school (8 or 9AM).
  • Labs turned in by 5PM to the ME office on Thursday will be reduced by 10%
  • Labs turned in by 5PM to the ME office on Friday will be reduced by 20%
  • Labs turned in before Dr. Provancher arrives on Monday will be reduced by 30%.
  • No labs will be accepted during the day on Monday or after.

Other examples

  • For HW due on Monday, the last day to turn it in is Thursday at 5PM.
  • For a memo due on Tuesday, the last day to turn it in is Friday at 5PM.

Clearly, there can be mitigating circumstances or the possibility of a lost assignment, but these exceptions will be treated on a case-by-case basis.
