ME 4000 Grades

Below is a pdf of the current grades, listed by the last 4 digits in your student number. Please look your grades over to ensure the scores for all of your homework and labs have been recorded correctly.

Typical grading scale for labs:

  • Lab and Homeworks were graded on the following scale
    • Check plus = 120/100
    • Check = 100/100
    • Check minus = 75/100
    • Check minus minus = 60/100

The late policy also of course applies.

The grades now include preliminary presentation grades for those who have presented. The range of grades for presentations is 60–100, though most of you have grades in the range 70–85. Also, some people do not have grades, since you have not presented. You should present next time. Some of you may not be happy with your presentation grades. You should present again too.

Click here for ME 4000 grade sheet.

If you see there is an issue the grades we’ve recorded, please do not email me about your grades, rather, please see me during office hours, class, or lab time to correct the problem since it will be hard to varify what ever needs to be resolved via email. If this is a matter of a typo or error on our part (e.g., forgot to record your grade), simply show me your graded assignment. If you want to dispute the amount of credit you received on a lab or homework, please see the TAs first. They are the primary graders for labs and homework. If you come to me, I will point you to them or regrade your ENTIRE assignment on the spot, though I tend to grade harder than the TAs.

The general breakdown of your class grades are as follows:

  • Lab Exercises (25% attendance) 15%
  • Team-mate/Project Grade 15%
  • Advisor/Project Grade 20%
  • Class Participation & Documentation 10%
  • Presentations 10%
  • Memos 10%
  • Individual Final Report 10% (wikiReport)
  • Group Final Report 10% (shared grade)
