Final Intra-team grading

  • Intra-team grading forms are posted here.
  • Please also fill out the team accomplishments survey. List up to 5 accomplishments for yourself and 2 primary accomplishments for each of your team mates. Please make the description of these accomplishments very brief (~1 sentence / 10 words). If you don’t know what a particular team mate has accomplished, just leave that portion blank. There is some seconary info I’d also like you to fill out for yourself and team mates too.
    • If you have given any of your team mates a lower score than the rest of the team, please also fill out a Detailed Evaluation Form for EACH of these team members, found here.

Please slide the survey pages you filled out above into your design notebook and turn these in together. Thanks, Will

You are graded on this assignment, though there is no assignment grade. This assignment is used to help determine your grade and your team mates. If you do not turn in a form, the assumption will be that you feel that everyone is contributing to the project equally. On the downside, this is also your chance to toot your own horn and let me know what you’ve done as well as what your team mates have done.

November Intra-team grading

  • Intra-team grading forms are posted here.
  • If you have given any of your team mates a lower score than the rest of the team, please also fill out a Detailed Evaluation Form for EACH of these team members, found here.
    • You are not graded on this assignment, but it is your opportunity to say if everyone is pulling their weight. If you do not turn in a form, the assumption will be that you feel that everyone is contributing to the project equally. But, understand that if you think there is an issue that needs to be raised, that this is your opportunity.

October Intra-team grading

  • Intra-team grading forms are posted here.
    • If your are unhappy with the performance with anyone on your team, please also fill out this form.

How is your team grade determined???

Many of you are interested in the answer to this question and rightfully so. The short answer is that your actual intra-team grade is a function of 2 things: 1. The actual scores you and each of your project team mates give each other, and 2. How well your project is going. The first of these is simply a numerical average of you “Pot of Gold” scores. The second is a little more subjective. I heavily rely on your advisors to say how the project is going, things like is due progress being made, are the students taking responsibility for their work, etc… In the end, your Pot of Gold score becomes a multiplier on how your project is doing and generally corresponds to your avisor grade. So if your advisor grade and your intra-team grade (pot of gold) are the same that means that your team mates “shared the gold equally with you.”

Let me know if you have questions about the above explanation. I can post further examples or clarifications. -Will
