Concept Generation and Sketches
With the customer requirements in mind, very extensive sessions of brainstorming with the aid of a mind map lead me to some design concepts. Bellow is a copy of a mind map that developed some of the first design concepts.

This brainstorming session lead me to consider a few designs further, which can be seen bellow in more detail.

Initial Downselect and Design Refinement
A design matrix was used to aid in the selection of the two top designs. Each metric was given it corresponding weight, with the most important metric being the highest. Then, each design was rated in each metric, all the scores were totaled and the two highest scores where chosen. Bellow is the matrix used for this initial down select.
