Development of a training program designed to ensure consistent level of competency among incoming process and manufacturing engineers.

Different training modules were written for die bonding, wire bonding, mechanical testing, and laser welding. Other modules planned are electrical and optical testing, and hermetic sealing. Each module will contain certification matrix where specific skills to be certified are listed by job category from operator all the way up to master process development engineer.

The company currently is investigating a more general training program encompassing all aspect of processes and operations within the company. The MPTS training program is envisioned to be a more in-depth training for personnel more directly involved with a particular manufacturing process that the group is servicing.
