Micro Electro Mechanical Systems, Research Assistant [2003-2003]
Designed electrostatic microgripper, specially for the assembly of micro gears using conventional
MEMS techniques. The microgripper was designed, built and tested on ‘intellisuite'.
Designed and built and tested micro transformer and micro heater arrays.
8.
Heat Transfer, Research Assistant. [2002-2003]
Designed the test section of a transonic wind tunnel to study heat transfer characteristics of a
specific gas turbine aero foil. It also involved design of Zn-Se windows to photograph infrared
images of the heated aerofoil from IR cameras. [Heat transfer Lab, UofU]
Conducted experiments at the ‘Propulsion Lab', National Aerospace Labs, to evaluate the
“Effects of Heat Transfer on rotating square ducts of gas turbine blades”. (32 weeks)
9. Scientific Data Visualization, Research Asst., UofU [2003-2003]
Built programs to convert 3D MRI scan data to visualize it as color mapped contour maps.
Developed tools to manipulate ‘Visual Human' data and applied isosurfacing, volume rendering and
cutting planes to separate and visualize skin and bones individually.
Tensor/Vector visualization to map critical points in complex fluid flow fields using glyphs.
