I received my M.S. in M.E. in 1997 and my Ph.D. in M.E. in 2002 from MIT .  I continued on as a Postdoctoral Associate for the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the d'Arbeloff Laboratory for Information Systems and Technology until 2003. During my time at MIT, I was actively involved with the Graduate Christian Fellowship, a graduate chapter of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship.

From 2003-2004, I was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at North Dakota State University.

I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Utah.
My research interests are primarily in robotics and mechatronics. My recreational interests include softball, volleyball, ping-pong, snowboarding, and science fiction. I am a member of Mount Olympus Presbyterian Church.
