- Director of Undergraduate Studies. Counselor for undergraduate ME students. Supervised undergraduate scholarship program. 1984-present. Chair, College of Engineering Curriculum Committee (1989 - present).
- Professor of Aerospace Engineering, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanics, U.S. Military Academy. Supervised all fluid mechanics and aerospace engineering instruction in the department to include the supervision of from eight to twelve military officer instructors. Taught courses in engineering fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, engineering mechanics, aerodynamics, and gas dynamics. Developed the aerospace engineering program from two courses in 1970 to a full aerospace engineering program with specialties in aerodynamics, helicopter engineering, propulsion and aerospace structures.
- Set up and supervised the implementation of an aerospace engineering program option to be presented to the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) for accreditation in 1984.
- Organized and supervised the rebuilding of the department's subsonic wind tunnel into an excellent research and instructional low speed testing facility complete with modern measurement equipment and an on-line microprocessor data reduction system. Supervised the development of an aerospace engineering research program for both officer instructors and students that has resulted in several NASA research reports and several student presentation awards at regional student professional society meetings. Served as faculty advisor for three student research projects on computer graphics, fluid control for a remote guided aircraft, and design of a small laboratory supersonic wind tunnel. Organized and implemented a student summer research program at government laboratories throughout the USA. Served as faculty advisor to the West Point Student Branch of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
- Served as department academic operations officer and supervisor of the department library. 1981-84, 1976-80, 1970-75.
- Visiting Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Taught courses in thermodynamics and gas dynamics. Conducted research in artificial limb control systems in conjunction with the Center for Biomedical Design, University of Utah. Served as a member of the Tenured Faculty Review Committee, 1980-1981.

Performed analysis of military and civilian support systems in I Field Force area such as artillery support, tactical air force support, helicopter gunship support and civilian operations and revolutionary development support (CORDS), 1969.
- Executive Officer, 1st Battalion, 92d Artillery, Pleiku, Republic of Vietnam. Supervised the staff functions and logistical and personnel support of this 155 millimeter howitzer (towed) field artillery battalion in combat operations in support of the 4th Infantry Division and Republic of Vietnam forces. Directed the base camp operations and security and served as acting battalion commander in any absence of the commander, 1968.
