ASME Journal of Biomechanical Engineering Associate Editor 2018-2021

Education

  • Ph.D. Bioengineering, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, 2007
  • B.S.E. Mechanical Engineering, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT, 2000
Research Interests

  • Understanding mechanisms of pediatric traumatic brain and eye injury in order to develop better prevention, diagnosis, and treatment strategies for children.
  • Understanding the structural changes that occur during the first few years of life, and how those changes affect the mechanical response of biological tissues and thresholds for injury in traumatic events.
