Dr. Brian Bailey has accepted an offer to join the faculty of the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of California, Davis. Congratulations Brian!

Brian earned a B.S. and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2011 from the University of Utah. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in 2015 under the supervision of Prof. Rob Stoll. At the University of Utah, Brian conducted graduate research on momentum and energy transport in environmental and plant systems. After graduating in 2015, Brian spent one year working at the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Corvalis, Oregon developing crop simulation tools.

As a faculty member at the University of California, Davis, Brian plans on developing the next generation of crop simulation tools, with the goal of better understanding and managing agricultural systems.
