Congratulations to PhD student Arash Kazemi, student of Dr. Shad Roundy, for winning the Materials Best Paper and Student Best Paper Awards at the PowerMEMS 2023 conference in Abu Dhabi. The paper, “Advancements in Modeling the Space Charge Induced Flexoelectric Effect,” was co-authored by Travis Peters and Dr. Susan Trolier-McKinstry at Penn State University. This conference focuses on innovation in micro and nano technology in support of power/energy generation, conversion and storage applications, and energy efficiency applications.
