Orientation Advising
We cannot wait to meet you! We will have time during your orientation to answer questions and plan your Fall courses.
Virtual Orientation (August 8 -12):
Registration for Virtual New Student Orientation (NSO) will begin on Monday, August 8th at 9am MDT. You will register at orientation.utah.edu.
After you have completed your online modules for orientation, you will meet with your advisor to go over department major policies and help choose classes. Then you will be able to register for Fall classes.
Sing up to meet with your advisor here. You will need to make sure you have completed your orientation modules before meeting with your advisor.
What do I need to complete before attending an advising appointment?
- Pay Deposit to University of Utah
- Register for University of Utah Orientation
- Submit transcripts, AP scores, and IB scores to University Admissions Office
- Complete Orientation Modules
What if I have questions for my advisor now and I’m going to be a first-year student?
We can answer some general questions about the program, but ask that you wait until your orientation session to go over course schedules. We will be covering A LOT of information during our meeting with you that will be very valuable and will address many of your initial questions.
